WELCOME TO THE
FRONTIERS IN EVOLUTIONARY ZOOLOGY
a research group at the Natural History Museum, University of Oslo, Norway
This webpage for our research group will be phased out, and from 1. January 2024 no longer be updated. We will also change the group's name to 'Comparative and Evolutionary Genomics (CEG)'.
You will find our new webpage at:

OUR MISSION
Key research questions of FEZ focus on biodiversity and systematics of mainly invertebrate groups using comparative approaches in an evolutionary and/or ecological context. Emphasis is usually on the marine realm, but also on terrestrial insects.
The main applications comprise of molecular biology, phylogenomics, and comparative genomics methods. We also develop new bioinformatics tools aiming at minimizing the impact of artificial signals on analytical procedures.
Last but not least, FEZ members are interested in the evolution of population and species differentiation with a particular interest in understanding cryptic species and the phenomenon of stasis.
